The Building Experience DIY Forum > Kitchen Splashbacks yes or no?

The redecorating job in my kitchen is almost done, but still considering what to do about some splashbacks, I have been considering some acrylic kitchen splashbacks what do people think good or bad idea?

I am not to sure ... my only concern would be that they would scratch alot easier than other products! there are alot of really good interesting and unusual splashbacks out there. and also the heat resistance if you have a large wok burner ... would you be able to clean with a scourer? or would it damage it? - which is why i also do not like stainless steel

Is Acrylic also as hygenic??

if you like the gloss effect then you could still go for a glass gloss effect. Rangemaster do a great range ... i have 1 and love it (i have the rain drop one and love it)

hope this is some help, let me know what you decide :)

I would say go for glass over acrylic. The ones from Premier Range are not too expensive:
