Perhaps he is getting his eyebrows dyed?!
I never liked him anyway as i never trust anyone who's eyebrows are a different colour to their head hair. But more than that i'd like to know how he is qualified to be the chancelor anyway. He has a law degree (which obviosuly suggests he is relatively intelligent) and is a life politician. But surely someone with an economics degree or a lifetime of experience in the business sector should be charged with looking after the economy especialy when it is in such a perilous state.
This would rule out Peter Mandelson also as he has a degree in Politics, Philospohy and Economics (but i can assure you that makes him no more educated in economic matters than someone with a Busines Studies A-Level).

so quite a bit in the news lately about the UK national debt and how we will solve it, more taxes or spending cuts. all very interesting but being a perceptive soul i noticed something amiss. back in my macro-economics days i was taught that a basic role of the chancellor was to manage the economy so our debt was under control. now while the central debate is interesting enough, what really caught my eye was the man the government has sent out to argue their case. Its not the chancellor, good old smooth hound Ali Darling as it should be, but that strange Mr Mandelson under the title Business Secretary. The problem is nothing to do with business, its a macro-economic issue, but where is the man in charge? But what i really liked was the Tories sending their 'business guru' out to go head to head with mandy. It was my old favourite, Mr Hush Puppies and a glass of Scotch, a genuine ex-Chancellor, Kenny Clarke.
Politics has gone mad, and now they are not even abiding by the old customs so you never know who is going to pop up on a particular topic. Where is the Chancellor?
