Never had you down as being a total sexist General....... personally I don't have a problem at all if more ladies want to interfere with my plumbing !!
But in answer to your question.... alas still very much a minority .

Not that 'Big TBE Brother' is interfering in your women should stay in the kitchens chat but I thought you would like to know this web site is built by a woman!
Also Scotty I love your comment... "personally I don't have a problem at all if more ladies want to interfere with my plumbing !!" Im sure you don't!

Apologies, all. I was just being mischievous. I'm actually a big fan of the ladies.
It was a geniuine question though. I am interested to know if there are more women entering the industry. But i suspected it wouldn't be the case, as scotty indicated.

I've long been worried that ladies are growing in prominence and may be about to take over the world and this article is further proof;
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/8085011.stm
As a traditionalist i don't see what was wrong with the good old days when they used to stay at home and prepare the dinner.
However, perhaps there is a more straightforward explanation for this article. The reason girls out perform boys in terms of grades at university has nothing to do with them being more intelligent. I went to university and i can assure you they didn't out perform the boys in drinking, sport or good old fashioned high jinx. Plus even with these better grades i think the gender pay gap still stands at something like 25% in favour of men.
I think the physical trades, such as building, plumbing, etc are probably the last trades over which man still holds a monopoly, which brings me to my quesion. Are you seeing more women involved in your business over recent years? Or do you think this is one area where we ar safe from female interference?
