As the review says, the maximum reach of the chisel is 76mm so you cannot put a mortice in the middle of any timber wider than about 6 inches, although it could still mortice offcentre. For timber this size you should consider a chain mortiser.
I hope this helps, if you have any more questions please respond.

TBE

TS200010 comments on Rexon SM-16A Mortiser

What do you think the maximum dimensions would be to mortise oak?

hughesie comments on Hand saw road test

that was a puka review, i've now put the jet cut to the test and found it abit rough starting the cut but fast and with a little practice fairly accurate. that aside my girl friend thought the photo of the man demonstrating the use of the saw was 'a fitty' so please no more of him!

MissB comments on Paslode IM350 Impulse Cordless Framing Nail Gun

The UK website www.itwcp.co.uk has details on the complete UK range of Paslode first and second fix nailers which can differ somewhat from the US so make sure you check it out.

big dick comments on Paslode IM350 Impulse Cordless Framing Nail Gun

Just read the Pasload review. Couldn't have put it better myself. Haven't had the misfortune of shooting myself in the hand but have seen it done and did come close to shooting a glazier once. Be careful!
Have just started a large barn conversion and need to buy a second gun Guess what? There's a company in Colchester called Action Fixings doing a special deal.
If you buy six packs of screws they will give you a pasload for free. I've done my home work and I reckon that after spending about £720 on the screws you're getting the gun for about £70. I know where I'm going on Wednesday morning.

The Big Chilli comments on Paslode IM350 Impulse Cordless Framing Nail Gun

I want one!
