Hi,

I was called to a job today where the customer has had warm water coming through the cold taps. They have thermostatic mixing valves on the pipework going to the bath and the downstairs basin. Another plumber went there and turned the isolating valves right down on the cold supply to the mixing valve which seemed to fix the problem but now they have very little pressure coming out of the hot taps.

Any suggestions?

Not sure if I have understood your problem fully but are there any check valves fitted with the mixer ?

Yeah I don't understand their problem either!!!! I didn't see any check valves but I thought the mixer valve might have had one fitted internally?

how big is the house? is there a sec return on the hot? yeah tmv will have internal check valve.
