Plumbing Forum > How much does taking a shower cost?
I'd like to know the answer to this question as well as i'm always looking for new excuses to tell my mother to get out of having to wash!
Unfortunately i suspect it is going to be a matter of pennys. Infact, you are probably not on a water meter so it probably doesn't cost anything extra to stay in the shower a few minutes longer.
Actually, you should count yourself lucky. I used to live with a bloke who had the opposite problem, severe hygene issues and he used to like sitting around on the sofa in his pants...... not nice.
more to the point ... while your housemates in the hot shower for 20 mins the combi is no longer heating the radiators ! More of a problem in the winter .
PS. leccy for the fan is negligable ( circa 0.2 pence / hr).. overrun timers and humidistats are a GOOD thing as tightarse users so often want to ' keep the heat in' / windows permanently shut and fail to adequately ventilate and can cause major issues with condensation ( and a damp house is more expensive to heat !!)

Someone in my house takes longer than everone else in the house taking a shower. Not only that, then leaves the fan running all day!.
This piss's me off and i was wondering how much ££ it costs.Say at least 20mins of showering,so its water, lecy, and gas from the combi.
ps,i dont want a timer on fan.
