Our gas meter was put in a while back and it is in brown semi concealed box out the front of the house. I want to move the box just a few inches and change the angle as i'm paving my front and it would be easier and look better if the box was moved slightly.

How easy is this to do? Might it be possible to move the box without messing around with the pipes and meter? If not would i need to get the gas provider to do this or could i get someone else. I've already paid to have it moved so don't want to pay another £500 (i tihnk that's what it cost if i remember rightly).
