no because that comes from the mains underground.
HI-SPEC PLUMBING
i guess kranky the obvious question is does the water get really cold in winter?
The Unit
i don't know, only been i the house about 6 months. it's not a big problem but i just wondered if there was something i could do to the plumbing below the tap to cool the water. never mind. thanks anyway
kranky
I've got a couple of helpful suggestions. Buy a jug, fill it with your tepid water, put in the fridge, drink it.
Or, spend thousands on one of those funky fridges that serve cold water instantly.
Should this really be such an issue for you? I would be more troubled by world povery and global warming than my tap water not being as cold as an alaskan mountain stream.
Smartin
Is your hot tap really cold instead?

your right there
HI-SPEC PLUMBING
I don't think this is an unreasonable question kranky. Just ignore them. You'd be pretty annoyed if you spent your whole life drinking warm water when all you had to do was install some kind of funky water cooler in the pipes.

Ok, i suppose in hindsight that was a stupid comment. Maybe someone should invent such a thing though, it could be worth milions!
The Big Chilli
nobody has failed to mention that the colld water pipe could be touching a hot water pipe from the central heating boiler
come on hi spec

you got a point rob but he states hes run it for a while useally if what you say was the issue running the tap for a while would useally clear the warm water.
