I have serviced with an overhaul kit my Mira 88 shower now however when someone flushes the loo the shower head runs for about a minute before stopping

?? you mean with the shower in use or with it turned off when the loo is flushed ??

Is the supply to the valve gravity, pumped or mains pressure ?
