Hey hi spec,
Your comment is exactly what I said to the customer. I've never heard of it and I think he's just a plonker, thanks for saying word for word what I had already said, cheers
adam
as a builder i take minor offence at hi-specs MASSIVE generalisation, but in this instance he is right. i never understand why people feel the need to invent reasons for doing something. if he wants to use plastic pipe, why not just explain what he sees as the benefits (as there are some good points for plastic pipe), surely he cant actually believe that what he is telling the client is true? in a way i would rather he was being deceptive than ill-informed.
come on hi-spec, i know you love us really!

yes you know i do.
as any trade some just spoil it and make their selfs look dumb, as for builders side of the regs i
know nothing and not affraid to say i'm not a builder so don't know.
no harm in saying you don't know or not sure, where all still learning.
Adam i don't know if your a plumber or a handy man etc.

Hi all,
I'm currently on a job where I'm extending a cold water pipe from a kitchen into a bathroom to feed a basin a shower and the builder on site has said that a new regulation has come in saying that all cold water pipes must now be run in plastic not copper. I've never heard this before and was hoping someone could clarify this?
Thanks, adam
