I've just bought a stainless steel bottle trap which is adjustable in height with a stainless steel waste pipe which can be cut to the desired length.
However, when I came to attach this to the plastic waste pipe of a standard 32mm (behind boxing), the stainless steel pipe is slightly smaller than 32mm. How do connect these pipes?
There is a stainless steel cover included in the box, presumably to cover the hole in the boxing. With this there are 2 rubber washers of different sizes. Do I simply put one of the washers on the stainless steel pipe and push through the cover and then put the other washer on the pipe and push into the existing 32mm waste pipe, thereby forming a seal. This doesn't sound or look very water tight!
