My HDTV that I have had no problems with for the past 3 years is suddenly jumping into standby by itself when another electrical appliance is used within the house. This problem is affected by all appliances on all circuits i.e Hoover, Cooker, Shower. It seems to me that this is being caused by a surge of some kind?. No electrical work as been carried out on the building for at least the last 6 months and this problem as only just come about. Is there anybody out there with any ideas what may be causing this?
