Electrical Forum > Earth wires on radiators

I can anyone help me? I have just had replaced the rads and have buried the pipes into the plaster work. Do I need to earth bond each rad or just the bathroom stuff? What size cable should I use, I have been told it should now be 10mm!

Thank you in advance

Main bonding from the main earth terminal ( Find this near to the electric meter) to the gas meter and to the water stop cock. Wire this in 10mm

no need to bond rads outside the bathroom.

Unless all your circuits into the bathroom are protected by RCDs then you will need to bond all metal fixtures to each other using 4mm earth cable. For example rad, metal bath, hot and cold pipes, metal waste pipe, electric shower and the light if its in zone 1 or 2. the earth wire needs to be continuous ie 1 piece from start to finish.
This job is a pain and will test your patience, good luck.

Cheers
Dean
