Hi all this is my first post so apologies if I should have put it elsewhere but feel free to advise if I am wrong. I have moved into a mid terraced stone house where the external walls are about 2 foot thick. The rear external wall has had treatment for damp by way of the injection stuff on the outside and specialist plaster 1m high on the inside. Problem is in 1 room about 2m up from the floor there is really bad damp stains infact the other day it looked like there was water seeping in through the wall. The rendering on the outside was blown about the same area which I have chipped of and noticed the stone is really wet. Also on the front of the house I am working in an upstairs room and when i removed the gyproc the stone is damp. So qu is could this all be from the guttering which needs replaced and should I re point it on the inside or outside ? any advice would be great Thanks
