Theres a large crack in the wall next to our starecase. We live in a first storey flat that has it's own starecase from the ground floor. The crack has been there for a while but has got a lot worse recently. The crack is over a meter long. Someone said it might be where a stud wall in our flat sits on top of a solid wall below. Does this sound likely. If so how can we fix it. If we fill it, will it not just happen again? If we should fill it, what filler should we use? Thanks G
