The Building Experience DIY Forum > tiling on plasterboard

can you tile straight onto new plasterboard or should it be plastered first?

Is the plasterboard already in place?

If not you would be better off using cement board if you are going to tile on it.

Plasterer London says: Yes you can tile on to plasterboard directly and there is no need to skim first.

Hope that helps.
