Hi, I have had quite a lot of pointing crack and crumble in part of the front wall of my Cottage. Is there any product that I can mix with the mortar to eliminate this problem when I re-point the section of wall?

when you say cottage it suggests to me that this property may possibly have lime mortar ? (If it does and it has been repointed with conventional / normal mortar this may explain why the mortar is crumbling)
