Design Forum > Painting Kitchen Doors

Hi I have posted on here quite a while ago now and I thought it was really useful.

My kitchen is out dated and I want to spruce it up, but Im not sure if this is possible. I was thinking of painting the doors cream currently they look pine. So basiclaly I think they are mdf doors with a pine look. They seem to have a shine on them, so Im not sure if you can just paint over them.

Im guessing I will need to sand them down, but do I need to buy a specialist paint for the kitchen?

Thanks Louisa

you dont need a specialist paint for the finish, you need a specialist primer. Have a look at the zinnser range and go with something like bullseye or coverstain, then you can put whatever finish you like on them
