hi, first time poster.

i usually use matt emulsion but my hall walls get very dirty and are difficult to clean.

i discovered dulux endurance which claims to be very resiliant and not get dirty. but it is very expensive so i'd like to know if it is worth it?

i was also told that if i don't want to pay the extra i could try silk emulsion as it is easier to clean than matt. is this true?

also is the silk noticably different to matt? i don't want a glossy finish.

Yes silk is noticeably different to matt it has a higher sheen to it, but it is wipeable. I'm guessing endurance is the DIY version of trade diamond. Diamond matt does stand up to wiping etc but i've read mixed opinions on it. The other option is diamond eggshell which has a lower sheen than silk and is pretty tough. It is expensive tho.
